Toby Bligh is a British composer who has recently released a two-pieced piano endeavor entitled ''I Am''.
Beginning on a fairly melancholic note, the piano carries deep introspective undertones, its melody and delivery soaked longing. Whether or not to represent the duality of the person claiming their existence in the title, the piano piece changes quite radically right down the middle of its runtime, to become a fast-pacing arpeggio/octave driven movement with a strong uplifting spirit. Last not least, all of this captivating mood-swinging is supported by synth-string section, which quite frankly - in our ears anyway - could've been left out.
