Steve Luck is a name we have not only grown to recognize at an instant, but cherish too. His approach to piano is what I would call a great recipe and then some, which is signified once again in a recently released "Peace".
Beautifully recorded with plenty of intimate ASMR sounds of the body of the instrument, the piece swings effortlessly along its elegant bars driven by a melody which - very loyal to the title of the song - sets one's mind at peace. Delicate in its delivery, the pianist relies more on the feeling than bravado of dynamics and rightfully so - a composition like that craves a moment much more than momentum.
An instant classic and a strong candidate for any major 'calm piano' playlist out there:
