Simeon Walker is a pianist from UK who's recently released "Gleam" may just end up being the piano track of the month, how taken way I was by it.
Played with the lightest hands but a heart that's somewhat heavy, the beautifully recorded piano delivers a performance rich in melody, feeling and above all - originality. Listening to this I am reminded of my absolute favorite modern day pianist, namely Hideyuki Hashimoto. The depth and intimacy of the recording deserves a praise of its own - well balanced ASMR sounds of the keys basically put the listener at the side of the piano with all the beautiful music it produces.
