Doeke - our now official Dutch favorite - releases a lulling and captivating piece entitled "Toeval (Chance)". Written on a waltz-like three-count, the piece swings on a consistent left hand, while the right hand allures and paints with intricate phrases, beautifully tying the bars together into a musical gem, complete with a second movement, very natural amounts of rubato and magnificent melodic elaborations all along. Gregor Strniša reaches us from Slovenia with a uniquely elegant piano piece, soaked a meditative atmosphere that is impossible to resist. Feather-light in its melody and recorded as if at some distance, the music seeps into the subconscious corners with its first bars and works its healing magic from within, out into the soul, the mind and ultimately - the being as a whole:
Sergio Díaz De Rojas is a pianist from Peru who's "Canción para Otto y Elsa" is a soul-stirring piece with otherworldly qualities in both delivery and production.
