A piece of music of this calibre needs a proper good recording, and in this case that's exactly what's needed. The live sound of the piano with all its creaks completes the picture perfectly. The piece has very interesting musical solutions, there is an author's handwriting. The piece is very elaborated and balanced, harmonious and graceful. Over the course of three minutes the composition unfolds like a rosebud, and like a rosebud it is full of petals. Throughout the whole composition the composer brings in more and more colours, more beauty and more variety.
We can confidently say that "abintra" is sure to grace your neoclassical piano music playlist, and you will listen to it more than once.
