Matthias Gusset "For The Time Being": Only infinitely beautiful.


Matthias Gusset is one of those names that grew so much on me that I immediately begin to build expectations when I see that this pianist from Switzerland put out something new. Not only was I not let down in the past, neither does it change with his recently released "For The Time Being".


The pianist is a master of taking the best of classical and impressionism and making it sound as if the genre was invented yesterday. In this very endeavor the emphasis is certainly on the melody, which ever-elaborate and blissful, makes for a uniquely beautiful decoration of a slow and heavy-handed accompaniment.


Can I ever get enough of this artist? I don't think so:
