Maria Grönlund "Allegory (The Relaxed Song)": Where talent meets intent.

This is a reminder that the war in Ukraine has not ended. Russian terrorist state continues to strike civilians with artillery and missiles on a daily basis for five months now, resulting in deaths of thousand of innocent people, amongst them over 400 children.

Maria Grönlund is a name by now familiar and for a reason - this Swedish pianist's compositions repeatedly prove to be some of the most captivating ones on the scene.

"Allegory" is no exception to the rule and quite frankly brought up a few tears to my eyes before I got through the first minute. Downtempo and endlessly deep the piece captures a mood that is somewhat demanding but in a way that is liberating - like accepting the responsibility one is given.

Melodically simple but with moving elaborations, the music speaks to heart, soul and all beyond:
