Edward Newell "Frostwork": A neoclassical freshness

Updated: 3 days ago

Piano and strings are undoubtedly a heavenly pair, as the recently released track entitled "Frostwork" from British composer Edward Newell further confirms.

The beautiful and pure music elegantly marches into the listener's possession on an intimate piano motif, supported by a gorgeously arranged string section that - like the winds for a bird - keeps the piano motif in flight throughout the duration of this neoclassical marble. The beautifully composed phrases seem to speak their own language, phrase by phrase, measure by measure, elegant and accomplished. The composition creates an incredible icy atmosphere, and it is as if a light, cold breeze permeates every cell of the body.
