Melancholic compositions like this one particularly hurt my feelings. Very often sadness is gratuitous, and sometimes it's even a pleasant feeling.
There's a sense of sadness in "Neglect" that borders between hope and utter despair and keeps the balance somewhere in the middle. The composer unhurriedly pushes the keys and a whole universe is born. One can't help but marvel at the workmanship, the level of drama and the composer's clever use of techniques to create the right atmosphere and mood.
