This week seems to be flooding with quality piano performances, whereas a part of of that flood is most certainly "Aria di Agosto" by Dario Crisman from Italy.
Lavishly delivered with exquisite dynamics and rubato, the richly composed, arpeggio-driven melody sweeps the listener of his feet, much like a stronger tidal wave does. Once in the sonic waters, the music - always making sure to keep the listener afloat - takes you on a fearlessly dreamy ride across its elegant bars rich in elaborations, melody and pure emotion.
