The piece "Baseline Syndrome" is inspired by Marc Argeloo’s book "Natuuramnesie", which explores the concept of “shifting baseline syndrome”—our inability to perceive changes spanning multiple generations. The composition maintains recurring motifs while its harmonic foundation continuously evolves, reflecting the subtle yet inevitable shifts in our perception of what is considered "normal."
