Blessed Are The Hearts That Bend is a British solo project, who - other than having released a mesmerizing neoclassical/folk endeavor entitled "Palace" - wins this weeks 'Coolest Artist Name' title.
With an almost indie-rock like intro on bass and guitar, the listener may have different expectations for this piece - soon enough though, the soundscape is gradually completed with beautifully weeping strings and other ambient backing treats. The mood of the composition is caught perfectly between melancholic and uplifting - a sacred moment it is dedicated to throughout its entire five minute runtime. Invoking and dreamy, the backing strings definitely get the spotlight in this arrangement with their distant, almost mystical sound.
