Arttu Silvast who's a Finnish neoclassical composer debuts on our blog with the most moving composition entitled "Glacier Bay".
Leading in on powerful, yet soothing drones, the music quite literally feels like a glacier moving slowly across endless waters. Beautifully intertwining with distant strings, the sound captivates the listener with a secret intent - one which is soon revealed with a theme change. It is as if the track emerged from underwater and onto the surface, where the sky, sun and all that is celestial has overpowered the cold and turbulent beneath. Never have I heard such an abrupt, yet elegant and well-placed change of theme in a neoclassical arrangement before.
