Andrea Sertori ‘’Minerva’s Owl’‘ - piano poetry



Piano can get pretty cinematic and this recent release by Andrea Sertori proves just that.

The piano is played like a poem is spoken. The notes and chords, rhyming with each other don’t follow a four count beat, nor have a core melody. Instead, the music tells a story, forever elaborating on it’s cinematic core. It is almost as if the pianist composed the piece by watching a scene from a cartoon, or a dance routine and then made the music fit the visual.
